The book by Daniele Fraccaro, Guida. I portici di Bologna, will be presented on Tuesday 18 March in the Sala Borsa. It is a handy guide for visiting the city and also a plentiful read, rich in images and information. From the back cover blurb: "A complete and easy-to-read guide to the beauty, history and mysteries of Bologna's porticoes. From the Pavaglione to the Baraccano, from the portico of the Podestà to San Luca. More than fifty porticoes organised into ten fascinating tour itineraries. A rich photographic resource for finding capitals, archivolts, sculptures, frescoes, coats of arms and inscriptions that tell the official story and the most intriguing surprises of the city and its characters. Graphic sheets and historical introductions to recognise and place in time all the decorative and constructive elements. A guide that not only offers an engaging and unforgettable experience but is also an indispensable tool to know and fully appreciate this UNESCO-recognised World Heritage Site".
